I think one of the really important parts of developing our game was our playspace. While props aren't needed, it also is not a game space as Sicart defines it; "a space specifically designed for a game activity", it is simply a game that requires space that is appropriate for playing games as well as able to comfortably accommodate all players of this game. In this case, I'm not trying to describe a play space as defined by Sicart, as "a location specifically created to accommodate play", but rather a space that is available for play. Our game is suitable to be played in anywhere from a classroom to a playground to a parking lot, in as little space as is needed for the players to be in. Essentially, I don't feel our game fits into a particular play or game space as Sicart describes, but rather is adaptable to players and their space availability. When Sicart discusses how a space "offers itself to be appropriated by play", when planning to play this game, players must survey the space where they plan to play to see how the space could to appropriated for this game.
